Description: In Sanlúcar de Barrameda, at the Guadalquivir’s river mouth in Cádiz the Jardín Botánico de la Paz, was built in 1806 with the aim of becoming the main aclimatation centre for new species brought from overseas to the peninsula. The initial Master Plan, drafted in 2005, optimizes the property’s functional aspects. The owner´s current needs and the obliged respect for the place´s past as a botanic garden were the core criteria followed to establish the project.
